No. You can still enjoy TipriTV without joining. However, joining grants you better interactive functionality and an ability to maximize your ability to connect with peers.

We welcome everyone, whether you’re Indian or someone who appreciates Indian culture. Although your ability to interact might be improved if you understand Indian terms and expressions, you don’t have to. Think of this site as your opportunity to learn along the way. Take the word “film.” In Desi lingo, it’s “filmi.” Then there’s “fabulous,” which in Desi lingo is “śhandār.” And you already know Desi and Tipri – that’s four.
Soon, you will find yourself saying, “Muje dēsī filmi sē pyār hai. TipriTV śhandār hai.” Translation: “I love Desi film. TipriTV is fabulous!” Just think of us as a less expensive, more interactive version of Rosetta Stone.
Here are the facts. TipriTV hosts one of the largest online collections of full-length, high quality Christian TV shows in various South Asian languages; features blogs by leading writers who tackle everything from current events to cultural issues; and provides users with free customizable profiles, access to a myriad of news outlets, and an opportunity to help those in need through charitable organizations like Operation Blessing.
Still fuzzy? Just visit our website a couple of times and all your fuzziness will dissipate.
While we at TipriTV want you to be honest and share your thoughts, we do not want mindless, wash-your-mouth-out-with-soup rants. There is a fine line between sharing and hating. All we ask is that you walk that line cautiously and avoid flaming our community of users and the website.
To protect our users, we will remove those comments that do not meet this standard of equitable sharing. We look forward to positively interacting with all of you.
At TipriTV you can comment on blogs, “like” videos, manage your own profile, converse with like minded people, share your pictures, chat with mentors, and stay connected with friends and family.
TipriTV is about you the user – what you want to read, what you want to say, what you want to watch, and what you want to share. Enjoy being you!
Tipri is what “hopscotch” is called in parts of India.
Operation Blessing, or as we like to call it OB, is a nonprofit organization based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Since 1978, OB has provided humantarian aid to over 215 million people in 106 countries, including all of the US. Essentially, their mission is to show God’s love by helping everyone in need. It’s a monumental task in both scope and justice.
The credit goes to a small network of coffee drinking, world changing, “The Office” watching, one-microwave sharing, birthday party celebrating, lovers of Indian culture. We are a mixed team of Indians and Americans who appreciate the chance to give something meaningful to the Indian community and interact with you.
TipriTV is unique in the terms of quality and diversity. TipriTV goes beyond fluffy articles, celebrity gossip and veggie recipes. TipriTV is an online community that is actually a community. Here, Indians share their opinions, their experiences and their beliefs. They get and give support. They are able to make a difference. TipriTV is a family. You can be a part of that family too.
According to Wiki, Desi or Deshi or Desiyudu refers to the peoples, cultures and products of South Asia, including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Burma, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka.
We are Christians sharing our hope through our art. It’s our way of practicing the love which stands at the center of our belief. That does not mean we are here to brainwash the world. We are here to inspire you, to encourage you. We will chat with you, share with you and pray with you. But the rest is between you and Him. You don’t have to meet any criteria in order to enjoy TipriTV.
